Oxfordshire County Council is inviting people to give their views on advocacy services which help vulnerable people get their voices heard.
The council is holding three public meetings as part of a review of its advocacy services, which support children and adults to have their say on local services such as health, and social care.
Advocates are mostly volunteers, acting on behalf of people who would otherwise find it difficult to speak up for themselves. The council commissions a range of advocacy services through local charities and other organisations. We want to hear what’s working well, what the challenges are and what we might do differently in the future.
The meetings which are free of charge and open to everyone are on:
Wednesday 4 October 2017 – start at 11 am and finish at 1 pm
The Beacon, Portway, Wantage OX12 9BX
Thursday 12 October 2017 – start at 11 am and finish at 1 pm
Banbury Children and Family Centre, Hilton Road, Banbury OX16 0EJ
Thursday 19 October 2017 – start at 6 pm and finish at 8 pm
Wesley Memorial Hall, John Wesley Room, New Inn Hall Street, Oxford
Anyone interested in attending can simply turn up on the day. There is no need to book a place.
