Healthwatch Oxfordshire is looking for volunteers to help collect people’s views and experiences of health and social services in the county.
This is a rare opportunity for you to help make a difference in the many aspects of these services. It gives you the chance to get out and about with their experienced staff and researchers and speak to many people about what matters to them most.
And you will have the satisfaction that you are helping to get the views of ordinary people directly to those to run the services.
They do this in a number of ways. They are frequently listening to people in everyday situations such as market places, or supermarkets, or at many other community events. They also have the power to enter and view situations in hospitals, care homes, GP surgeries and dental practices – in fact just about anywhere within the health and social services spectrum.
Don’t worry if you have not done this sort of thing before, because they provide training. Equally if you have an area of expertise and think you can help them in other ways please don’t hesitate to contact them.
Their next volunteer training will take place on Wednesday June 13 2018, 10am to 4pm.
