Reminders of OXFSN Embolden Project Events Coming Up

Just a quick reminder that there are a number of events coming up in Oxfordshire for the Comic Relief Funded Project aimed at giving families supporting adults with learning disabilities, especially older families, a louder voice on health and social care issues.
The project is aimed at families who care for adults with learning disabilities, whether they are living with you at home or in supported living or residential care. It is also aimed at brothers and sisters or other family relatives who may be involved in supporting your relative with a learning disability and may be sharing the caring with parents. We especially want to reach out to older family carers.

So if you have concerns about possible cuts to your care packages, anxious about proposed changes to services, worried about asking for a reassessment, struggling to find supported living or concerned about the future and want to ensure a secure good life for your loved ones who have a learning disability – we want to help.

We are meeting at Witney on Thursday 22nd at 11am until 1pm this week at 5 Moors Close, Ducklington, Witney, OX 29 7TW

The following week, we are meeting in Wantage at Charlton Day Services, Village Rd, Charlton, near Wantage at 10-30am until 12-30pm on Tuesday 27th September.
