Review of Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is undertaking a review into its clinical services and needs our members’ help to ensure it can better meet the needs of the communities it services.

Last month we started a review into our clinical services, and we would like to invite you, our members, to share with us your views, experiences and ideas.

The purpose of this review is to understand how our services should be configured to best meet the needs of our local communities in the future. We want to work together with you and the people who use our services, their families and our staff to ensure that a range of views and ideas are heard. This feedback will be vital in helping us shape the way our services look so we are keen to hear as many viewpoints and experiences as possible.

We know we have faced a lot of criticism in the last year and this is part of our work to respond to this and improve our services. We will use what we learn to make a plan for the future, called a Clinical Services Strategy. This will be published in February 2017 and we will continue to ask for feedback throughout the process.

As part of this project we want to listen to the views of a variety of people, including health workers and experts. Just as importantly, we want to hear from people who use the services, who can provide valuable insight from the experiences they have had.

Contact us directly to learn more and share your views
If you have more to say than would fit into a survey, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at clinicalservicesstrategy@southernhealth.nhs.uk or call Angeline Jackson on 02380 874359.

We do understand that not everyone who might welcome the opportunity to input into the review will be able to attend one of the workshops or fill in the survey. However, it is important to be clear that the clinical services strategy will be constantly adapted and developed – it is not set in stone. Further engagement opportunities will be available once the strategy has been published as well as throughout its implementation to ensure we are getting it right.

We are keen to ensure that the future shape of our services fits with what our communities need, so we really value your input.
