Oxfordshire Family Support Network have been successful in bidding for funding for sessional work for a new project for older families of people with learning disabilities.
The aim would be to create a voice for older families and to campaign on issues of concern for older families.It would also enable us to run group work and training sessions for families.
Oxfordshire Family Support Network is run by families for families.We are therefore keen to hear from family carers or people who have a close association with people with learning disabilities.
We are looking for a person who has skills in running projects that are peer-led, who enjoys working with older family carers and their relatives and who is thorough at recording and evidencing the work they are doing, as regular 6 monthly reports are required.
We are also looking for someone with excellent admin skills, coupled with people skills to support this project on a sessional basis.
