‘A Small Enclosed Room with Alfie Murphy’

We’re getting in touch with organisations supporting learning disabled and autistic people in the Oxford area to invite you to ‘A Small Enclosed Room with Alfie Murphy’, a funny, accessible theatre show created by autistic artists, coming to Burton Taylor Studio this Wed, 30 September and Thurs, 1 October 2032.

Alongside the performance, we can offer creative workshops exploring the themes of the show. If this is something your organisation would be interested in, we’d love to hear from you.

Here’s a bit more about the show:

Welcome to Alfie’s world.

It’s funny, a bit chaotic, and doesn’t always behave how you expect.

Created and performed by acclaimed autistic artists Cian Binchy and Anna Constable, this joyful dark comedy explores autism and mental health through humour, imagination and direct connection with the audience.

Expect shark chases, cardboard cut-outs, a rap about Devon, and moments of surprising honesty.

Every performance is relaxed and captioned, creating a welcoming, inclusive experience for all audiences.

A brief pre-show audio description will be made available.

Please note that Burton Taylor Studio is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.

Suitable for ages 14+.

A small enclosed room. A shark. What could possibly go wrong?

We’d love to welcome your group to the show.

If you’d like to book tickets for groups or find out more about workshops and other activities, just get in touch.
