Bitesize (one page) publication on health and care of people with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire

A new JSNA Bitesize (one page) publication on health and care of people with learning disabilities is now available on Oxfordshire Insight.

The bitesize shows the most recent data for Oxfordshire from NHS Digital and findings include:

  • There are 2,040 people registered at GP practices in Oxfordshire with a learning disability;
  • Life expectancy for people with a learning disability is 65 for females and 66 for males, much lower than life expectancy for those without a learning disability;
  • People with a learning disability are more likely to have had a recent BMI assessment classification as obese or overweight than people without a learning disability.
