A number of people have been experiencing difficulties in getting a Blue Badge since they have moved from DLA to PIP in Oxfordshire.
The situation is being currently monitored by Customer Services in Oxfordshire County Council to see what impact the changes are having on people who had previously been eligible automatically by virtue of the fact that they have had High Rate DLAin the past.
The Blue Badge Scheme is administered in Oxfordshire by the County Council
on behalf of the Department for Transport (DfT). The DfT recently ran a
national consultation regarding Blue Badge eligibility and OCC are awaiting the
outcome of this consultation which may include additions or changes to
eligibility. This will help to inform how they apply eligibility locally in

Also, it may help a review of your application if you can supply additional evidence of why the badge is needed if the person you support may show distressed behaviours that mean it helps to have access to parking close to where you need to visit. e.g. if the person you care for has autism or may have mental health needs.
