Funding: The Anthony (Tony) Lane Foundation - Adults & Children with Disabilities in Henley area

Local voluntary and community organisations are invited to apply for grants from The Anthony (Tony) Lane Foundation

Applications for grants from the Foundation in former mayor, Tony Lane’s memory are now open. This year, the Foundation has chosen to support voluntary and community organisations which help adults and children with disabilities living in Henley or the surrounding area.

The Anthony (Tony) Lane Foundation was set up in 2016 following Tony’s death when he left a bequest for this purpose. Every year the trustees of the Foundation choose a different theme to support. Previous years have included supporting new businesses in Henley and surrounding areas. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded grants totalling more than £90,000.

The Foundation is particularly keen to help grassroots community groups and small-to-medium-sized voluntary organisations. Applicants need not be registered charities but must have charitable purposes. Organisations applying must have a constitution or similar governing document and a bank account in the organisation’s name.

This year, the Foundation will be awarding one or more grants totalling £20,000.

Any organisations wishing to apply should provide a maximum 1,000-word explanation of its organisation and objectives, the amount being requested by way of grant and, if successful, how the grant would be put to use. Supporting evidence outside the word limit is allowed. Every application must include evidence of the organisation’s bank account and a copy of its governing documents.

Applications should be sent to:

The Trustees of The Anthony (Tony) Lane Foundation, The Burnside Partnership, Blenheim Palace Sawmills, Combe, Oxfordshire, OX29 8ET or by email to: della.burnside@theburnsidepartnership.com. If you have any questions, please do email.

The closing date for applications is 30 September 2019 . Applicants will be informed whether their application has been successful by the end of October 2019.
