Two Advocacy Coordinator Roles – One for Cancer & Older People and the other for Care Act

£19,110 to £23,660 per annum (pro rata) for each position

Have you worked with individuals in the health and social care sector?
Could you persuade health and care professionals of the benefits of a new project?

Oxfordshire Advocacy works in partnership with Macmillan to provide advocacy support for older people affected by cancer. We also have the Oxfordshire County Council contract for Care Act Advocacy. We are looking for two dynamic advocates to promote both services and support patients and their carers to navigate their way through the medical system and related services. You will need an understanding of advocacy, excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with health and social care professionals.

Both jobs are for 25 hours a week, starting ASAP. The Cancer & Older Person role is on a fixed term contract to end 31 March 2017. Both roles are based in Oxford but will involve travelling throughout Oxfordshire.
