The Weston Library in Oxford have started a free, monthly book club for Adults with Learning Disabilities, as part of the Books Beyond Words Project (Beyond Words Book Clubs — Beyond Words).
Beyond Words Book Clubs are places for people who enjoy stories to have fun and make friends. We look look at word-free picture books together, with sensory objects to help tell our story from the book. Refreshments included, support helpers welcome and there is no need to be able to read or speak.
Our next meet-up in on Thursday 24th October, 3 - 4pm at the Weston Library on Broad Street, Oxford. We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month, from 3 - 4pm.
Spaces are limited, so booking is a must. If you would like to come along, please email Hayleigh at outreach@glam.ox.ac.uk to join and Hayleigh will send you all the information you need.
