Mindfulness Courses for Carers from Carers Oxon

Hello all

We are really happy to be able to offer free mindfulness sessions for carers of an adult living in Oxfordshire.

The Mindfulness mini course = 2 sessions of 1.5 hours each. There is a max of 15 places per mini course.

Mindfulness helps us to balance our lives, restore energy and effectively cope with difficult thoughts and painful emotions. With practice we can choose to bring kindness and pleasure back to our lives. Research shows that mindful meditation, breathing and gentle movement helps stress and anxiety. It is also known to help people manage pain or a long-term health condition. You are welcome to join us for a 2 session introduction to mindfulness. We will work with you to help you to find your own way to inner peace.

Content:
Practical sessions of breathing, mindful movement, body scan, meditation and mindful moments.

Outcomes for attendees will be:

  1. Recognise how important it is to relax for your health
  2. Have an experience of stress reduction
  3. Gain some skills to be able to bring stress reduction into your life

Tips for attendees wear comfy clothes e.g. no heels no ties.
