OxFSN are running an information event on Money Matters - Planning Ahead on Thursday 23rd March from 10.00 am -2.00 pm at the Ladygrove Community Centre (next to All Saints Primary School) Tamar Way, Didcot.
The event is open to all family carers and siblings who have a relative with a learning disability.
Freeths Solicitors will discuss Wills and Trusts, power of Attorney, Deputyship and Court of Protection. Metro Bank will cover setting up and managing bank accounts, online banking, how a trust works, power of attorney and court of protection. The Department of Work and Pensions will cover claiming Universal Credit, and the Money Management team from Oxfordshire County Council will talk about how they help adults who lack the capacity to manage their own finances and do not have family or friends to support them.
