Wallingford Accessible Boat Club (WABC)

WABC is a small charitable volunteer organisation based in Wallingford, whose purpose in life is to enable disabled and less mobile people in Oxfordshire (and beyond) to get out on the River Thames in a small purpose-built craft – a wheelyboat - that allows wheelchair and the less mobile to embark/disembark safely and securely. River trips are normally of 2 hours duration and available completely free of charge.

The wheelyboat has a fully trained team of volunteer crews and is a valuable community asset. The Trustees want to ensure it is well used. The benefits of an outing on the river not only give huge pleasure to passengers but also have a significant calming effect.
